Clothing to Fuel

Recycling into solid fuel (RPF*)

Clothes that are reborn as energy sources with low CO2 emissions

Of the collected clothes, those that cannot be reused as clothing are reborn as high-calorie solid fuel (RPF) or soundproofing material for automobiles. High-calorie solid fuel (RPF) is made from clothing, waste plastic, paper, and wood waste, and is used in dedicated boilers at paper companies and other facilities as an alternative to fossil fuels such as coal.

Recycling into automobile soundproofing materials

Moving to the next stage as a material for suppressing car noise and high frequencies

Of the collected clothes, those that cannot be reused as clothing are reborn as soundproofing materials for automobiles and high-calorie solid fuel (RPF). Approximately 22 T-shirts* (approximately 4.3 kg of used clothing) are cut up, recycled, and then made into soundproofing material for one car, which helps reduce the high-frequency noise of car engines and electric vehicles.
